This event will be a gathering of scholars from different disciplines and parts of the world. Each of the nine papers presented will highlight the enduring impact of Richard Wagner on Western and non-Western art from the late 19th century to the present.

It will be followed by a recital of arias and art songs by Wagner and composers who were influenced by him, with James Atkinson (baritone) and George Ireland (piano).
