RMA Awards and Grants
The RMA offers a number of awards for musical scholarship, as well as financial assistance for research student projects and for the organisation of conferences. Awards are administered by the Awards Committee.
The Dent Medal
Awarded to recipients selected for their outstanding contribution to musicology.
Honorary Membership
Honorary membership of the Association, a rare honour, is awarded in recognition of substantial and long-standing contributions to musical scholarship.
The Jerome Roche Prize
Awarded annually for a distinguished article by a scholar in the early stages of his or her career.
Student Research Grants
Small grants to student members of the RMA or members of RMA student groups for research expenses.
Conference Affiliation
Managed by the RMA's Proceedings Committee, affiliation of conferences and study days to the RMA offers a number of benefits, including free advertising, advice and support from RMA Officers, and sometimes financial support.
